Default Removing Paint Off of Brakes/Calipers

The previous owner applied paint on the brakes and so I am planning to use Aircraft Paint Stripper. However, if I apply this solution with the brakes still on the rotor, will it cause anything to rust? Also, will the brake hoses/lines deteriorate over time? Thanks.

i just took mine to a track event and cooked the brakes!

i think the easiest solution for you would be to get a can of flat black, and spray over the paint.

i wouldnt use stripper on a caliper that wasnt disassembled, it could eat into the dust shield for the piston, eat the line, and cause you to die in a fire.

I vote for burning the paint off at the track!

Yup, that is what I have been in the process of doing. Then again...I could careless what they look like as long as they stop me quickly.
