1.5 dx distributor woes
how do u guys check if a distributor is good or bad? my car been dying mysteriously with a code 15 but the ignitor and ecu are ok.. just that last time it used to leak oil from the distributor and i wonder if that made it bad.
every single help is appreciated

one way to check to remove it and open it up and see how smooth the rotor spins.. mine spins pretty un-smoothly and I've already had the car die on me at random times where all I hear is a *pop* and the car's suddenly off, i also forgot to mention my car stutters a little around 4krpm when the RPM needle starts to go crazy all over the place

you got to remove it from the camshaft first...
remember rotor is connected to the camshaft and camshaft is connected to the timing belt which is connect to you know what... so its impossible to move it without removing it from the engine...
