Default Motor building Tools

I am looking into inversting into a set of measuring tools for engine building and other automotive use. Can anyone recomend a reliable company for micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators ect? I don;t wanna spend money on something that needs recalibration all the time. thanks

Mitutoyo makes the best tools for measurement.

I bought most of my engine build tools from a tool resale shop. Both of my Mitutoyo micrometer sets were brand new in the wrapper and box for a ridiculously low price. I also bought a dial indicator and stand and cylinder bore gauge really inexpensively (compared to a regular store) from the same place.

I did buy my rod bolt stretch gauge from summit, but it was under $60

Keep in mind that if you are buidling a Honda motor, you need your micrometers to have very high resolution (.0001")
