I'd also like to know....I love the stockish look and I'd like to make sure it doesnt sound like a flock of angry bees or a long fart before i buy it!

The one I've heard is actually the opposite of what you're looking for. Idle/down low you can hear a slight rumble. But when you let loose, it's quieter than my A'PEXi WS. That's my experience with it. HTH

Also, I forgot to mention the vehicle had 2.25" piping with the longest Magnaflow resonator that will fit. I still love the look and hope to hack off my WS muffler for an ES. I suppose you can get a louder WOT sound if you put in a smaller resonator.

OK, how about getting a resonator one size smaller than the longest 2.25" magnaflow resonator?

Also, I'm not so sure if the resonator brand would make a difference in sound. A generic resonator might do less in cancelling out sound.

I remember someone posted about the ES without a resonator saying it sounded loud, but very nice and deep. He never said anything about raspiness. He then put on a resonator and it wasn't as loud, but still maintained the nice deep tone.

That sounds a lot like my thermal..hehe I don't have a clip but I have heard that with a cat, resonator, and the es oval muffler that it is pretty quiet. A bit louder than stock but not obnoxious.

I'll let you know mid June when it's all together. I have ordered the ES oval in 3" for my supercharger project. I will be running a Kamikaze header, 3" flex and test pipe, bigass 3" resonator (maybe 2), all 3" mandrel piping, and ending it with the ES. Believe me, I want it as close to stock as possible, so I'll die trying to make it quiet. I'll let you know...
