On the limit maybe (polar moment of inertia and roll center)...

Yes,the differnece in weight is 14-15 lbs. Almost everything is lighter on the ctr motor, things you wouldn't even think would be lighter, that add up to the 14 lbs.

How so? The only differences between the B16B and B18C5 are the crank, rods, and pistons. I know CTR pistons are heavier than ITR pistons (larger dome). My assumption would be the ITR motor has less mass, by a few grams.

Alright if it means that much, the crank pulley 3-5 lbs less, the starter 3-5 lbs less, and the flywheel, 3lbs less. the crankshaft, rods and pistons about 1lb less. The heads are identical except the ctr has a slightly more aggresive intake cam. the blocks castings are identical, but internals are different.

Your right in that they are both lightened, but I believe the ITR is 18.5lb where as the CTR is 16lb. I could be wrong though as I've not actually put both on a scale.

A CTR (B16B) is a destroked ITR (B18C5) hence they share the same block. OEM ITR flywheel weighs in @ 15.5 lbs.

The B16B is the same block as a B18C5. The internals are different.

The difference in deck height between a B16A and a B18B is ~25mm

Yes, I know that. I was just wondering the weight difference between the shorter block and the taller block.

I found this. A little off-topic, but it should help.
