Have a question about a 2000 type r
I have a chance to get a 2000 yellow type r and it has a rebuilt title from a theft. The car is put back together using all oem parts and it looks good with 68k miles. The guy is asking 9500 for the car. Is that a good deal for haveing a REBUILT title? please help guys I am trying to buy in the morning.

You'll want to take it to an acura dealer and make 100% cure it's in perfect working condition
compression check, leak down check etc etc.. also make sure all the OEM ITR parts are in the interior, make sure the VIN's match on the frame of the car and everything.
If insurance isn't an issue and Acura says it's Ok Go for it!!!

95 bones is uber cheap... you could part it out and nearly double your money.
LMK if you desire another set of eyes to go over it.

for ca you have to have a dealer inspect it. chp inspect it, bar inspect it and dmv visual inspection depending on how you pass you can get a clean title back for the car

In ca the car does not have to go to the dealer. Dmv requires the car to go to the highway patrol for inspection next to brake and light. And in ca you have to bring recipets of all parts. Not just some written up ones. To your local chp. I go thru this once a month. I build re-builds from auctions. This is the same steps I had for my R. All so you need to make sure the car was not made for off road statues. In ca the insurance company can put a non-fixable status on the car. And It is a bitch to take off. Hell for $9500 I'll fly down there and pick that up. Let me know if the deal falls thru.
