Default Advise on intake elbow for EG airbox with a gsr motor.

Hello Everyone,

For all of you hybrid guys that may know for sure please answer the following:

I have a 94 GSR in my 93 Civic CX hatchback, and I was wondering what OEM intake tube I need to get if I want to retain the stock eg airbox. A 1.6si elbow fits great on the airbox lid side but it is to small to properly fit over the gsr throttle body. Any suggestion on what OEM stock honda elbow I may need? Where might be the best place to scrap one?

thanks much.

The proper one would be from the EG6 (USDM = EH2/EH3 for hatches).

So the JDM SiR/SiR-II.

Might be a bit tough to find, but it is big enough to fit over the ITR TB with minor coaxing.

Awesome guys thank you. I might just call up Steve from HMO and get one. By the way what Honda USDM cars are known by EH2/EH3?

Thanks a lot.

Having owned both I can say in the CANADIAN market.... the DX 5th gen hatch is known as an EH2.

The Si hatch is the EH3.

Just look at your VIN number and see what you have. Chances are you will never see "EG6" in that sequence.

Here's a good link that will tell you exactly what is what though.

use the drop down menu, on the upper right to get the readable full size version. 56k - you have been warned.

Does anyone know if the EG6 intake elbow is the same as the EH3?
TIA

EG6 = JDM

EH3 = USDM

EG6 = DOHC VTEC

EH3 = SOHC VTEC

so the answer is no.
