for my a6, z6, y8 hybrid build I need to use the d16a6 head gasket to keep the compression ratio in the area where I want it (10 to 10.2:1). Therefore to do so I need to use the a6 headgasket. I heard it is the old material and not metal so its deteriorates quicker. Are there any steel headgaskets on the market like the y8 one that are the same thickness...or rather could I use 2 y8 headgaskets for example?

 

according to the internet information....the a6 headgasket is 0.048 inches thick..so I guess Ill have to look for a steel headgasket of that thickness
