wow.

Honestly, if you walked up to someone and said this in person what kind of reaction would you get?

About the same here confused looks and possibly anger.

You need to list what kind of money you have to spend grip how? Around the turns, for a drag strip or maybe the snow.?

How long do they need to last, DOT tires only? What do you mean but no mods, rims and tires are one of the most important mods for a car.

rant over.

Kumho Ecsta SPT 205/50/15 It's what I run and it definitely grips.

But if hes track racing that sucks, i have my own thoughts about them as a street tire but but to toss that out doesn't help.

15x7 rims 12-14lbs and I would get some Kuhmo 710's 205/50/15 great grip with no mods. Exactly what you are asking for. Unless you are into 4x4 then you could get some super swampers. All depends on what kind of "grip" you are talking about.

I got to agree with Max, you really left this wide open. Why don't you tell us what your plans are to do with the car.

since its tires we are dealing with i got a question:

My friend has offered me a full set of rims and tires for 500. The rims are white and need a liottle cleaning and some touch up on scratches, but still look nice. The tires are brand new yokohama with les than 500 milkes on them. still has all the mouldings left on them.

The rims are 17" and just fit onto my car, but the tires in the front rub the fenders just a little bit when turning real wide or when the car rocks/leans to one side.

Am i going to large on the rims and tires? i like how the large rims and tires look on my car. makes it meaner looking and classy even with the gray primer :þ So to keep it from rubbin would i need to put on coil overs? Any suggestion/advice on the parts i need to make it work would be nice.

car with 17" rims on (sorry for low qual. taken with phone)

personally for any year crx my opinion would be to not go any higher than a 16 inch wheel 17's most of the time look and soud horrible when u drive ,not to mention the tire wear from hitting the wheel wells , just my 2 cents

LOL, yeah I just got rid of my 17s because they made my car hadle like a tin can on tank treads. I'd go no larger than a 15" rim setup.

I use that tire with a 15x7 wheel for autocross. With a +41 offset and a bit of rolling of the rear fenders, I'm < 4.5" off the ground at the jack tabs with no rubbing issues.

Picture here.

ah i see what you mean. the white 17s would look nice but the extra cost in raising it and the apparent downgrade in handling isnt something i want

Sticking with 15's may be better.

I really having the hardest time trying to choose what rims to get... Once i get my sound system in (2- 12" subs ina single box). Ill be doing body work and getting rims. and yes i said full subs in my rex.

Im going for the 15x7, but i cant pic color omg!!!
my car is going to be all black exterior with black tint, interior is going to be bnased on a red and black combo. So my rim color choices are whtie, black, red. White seems out of place but it looks nice, but even that excluded black or red...omg the choices.

oh and btw: nexes tires for my 15s?

dont ruin another crx's looks. dont go over 16" and dont get crappy tires either. my friend got the cheapest tires from discount tire and every turn he took weather it was slow or fast they would always cherp and scream.
