Default ok y-49s official project thread

ok ppl i have had like ten rexs. so here is what is going on right now.

it started with this.





then i got this.






and it has been hit in the rear. it isnt bad but im picky and the rear bumper and the tail lights dont line up perfectly. so todays project is to swap everything from the 88 hf to the 89 si. i will have progress pics asap

update: the front end is on. i just got to get some new headlights cause all my mounting tabs are broke. here are pics.





tukin the tires with stock wheels nice huh? lol

and here are the goodies waiting to be put on. they will be on as soon as the rain stops.

yeah im hopeing. well i got the fenders and the hood on the yellow one. now i just got to get the stuborn front bumper off. is there anyway to remove the front bumper without taking those wide + screws out? thanks ppl

First take the screws out where the bumper meets under the fender in front of the tire. There should be 2 or 3 screws on both sides. Then take your bumper lights out of the bumper and you will see two 10mm bolts on each side behind the lights.
Take the four bolts out and the bumper should come right off.

ok well. it dont have the bumper support bar in it. but ill see if i can figure out what u are talkin about. thanks

The wide screws you are talking about screw into the bumper support so if there is no bumper support what are the screws screwed into?

well it has that thin piece of metal that it screws to but it doesnt have the thick piece. reinforcement maybe. whatever. im going to take it off and put it onto the other car. then ill post somemore pics of it all done

well i got the bumper off. but i dont have 1/4 inch extension to get the headlights off. so as soon as i get the headlights off it will be done. as far as the body. then i got to put my traction bars on and switch the fuel pumps out. i will have pics up tonite. thanks ppl

everything is done but the front bumper, traction bars and the dash swap. i got to put my front suspension back on it before i can put the front bumper back on it. ill have everything done in the morning. so ill have pics up for yall i think im about to go do the suspension right now. and the front bumper. ill let yall know. thanks for the replys

sorry i havent posted any progress pics. it slowed down cause i have to take my front shocks off and i dont have a ball joint puller. and the car is sitting on the ground. i think ill go put some wheels on it real quick and snap a few pics for yall.

ok here are a few progress pics. i still got to do my suspension and put all of my si wheels on it. and my front bumper and lights. i will finish it, clean it and get better pics tonite. sorry the pics are terible. thanks for looking

well i got all the si wheels on it and got the front bumper on it. now i just go to put the front shocks and springs on it. and i think i finaly found a ls swap. ohh and i got to put all the door moldings on it. what do yall think so far?

haha, i guess cheap cameras really do suck. who woulda known... It looks sweet with that front end on though... i love the tire tuck! Don't bump my thread, I'm gonna make a better one when i get the pics working... do you have to zip the files? or is there a certain file format to use? i cant upload... it takes FOREVER. O yea and i fixed my comp so thats not the problem. welp, GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!

lol at the dino modem. but yeah i love my y-49 and wouldnt trade it for anything. everybody thinks there cursed but i think they are just unsure of there sexuality. (spelling) and cant drive a yellow car. im not scared
