well if you want something to mod. that you can get cheap stock I would try to find a decent EF hatch or CRX and go from there. but I guess it all depends on how much money you want to spend what kind of features you want... and which body style you like the best.

my personal favorites are crx's and integras

well im lookin to spend around 2100 or so. i would be commuting in the car. i was lookin at an 88 civic hatch for sale. pretty much all stock with coilovers and integra wheels. im not lookin for a luxury ride. just somethin easy to work on (maybe swap) and reliable..and of course quick

I love the ef hatch's! if you can find a clean one for around 2k that runs strong I would do it. and then just do a b series swap for some added power. haha.

yeah i personaly would look for a clean straight civic hatch or crx shell. and do a ls swap as soon as u get it. u could easily do it for 2100 bux. if u keep an eye out for deals. ohh and since u want to mod it. it would be easier if u find one that is already mpfi. my .02 cents

Don't get an 88, it's that much different from the 89-91's that it will give you headaches when you try to mod it. Try to get a 90-91, much better on the small styling details (and newer).
