if you have access to a dremel and get Fiberglass Reinforced Cut-off Wheel for it. I think it will do the job just fine and alot faster :D I've installed over 10+ and I think I only used the metal nibbler from radio shack once.. dremel all the way

I disagree with the dremel on this project. The fact that some people do not have a steady hand and a dremel has a tendency to stray away REALLY QUICK...Therefore if one tried to use a dremel they might have a greater chance of sliping and going down the whole fender and making a HUGE scratch/cut!!! If one thinks they are skilled enough with a dremel then go for it. The metal nibbler is in fact slower but there is less errors IMO.

CFran55: I actually think I am the one that told you about the metal nibbler. Glad to see you passed the info on.

haha yeah i'd have to agree, a dremel is pretty intimidating if it only has one speed setting

my dremel can be ajusted at multiple rpm's. there are some that can't. I believe those are the older models. but if you have a steady hand and patients.. dremel will work just fine. I guess there are those people that have never used any sort of equipment like that and don't really know the angle they should be holding it. So ya I believe the nibbler is for those people.

the dremel isn't bad at all....but i reccomend that you practice a few times on something extra, don't make your first dremel work be your fender...
