It had no spark so I bought a dizzy. I now have spark. Replaced the main relay and the fule pump now works. My problem is that the injectors do not pulse. I replaced my ground wires and now they bearly pulse but the car will start. Nocheck engine lights are on and all the fuses are good.
I some one give a little advice.
There is power at the resistor box and power at pin 1,3,5,7, on the ecu.There is power also from the injector it self. but they will not pulse to keep the car going.

hows the fuel pressure? is the fuel pressure regulator working correctly? stock or aftermarket?

 

when primed it pump about a 1/4 cup and cranking over keeps filling up the cup. about 20 oz in a couple of seconds

 

My d16z6 in my 88 rex si had thae same problem. his is a rare case but if you can get it started wuth fuek injector cleaner it may start the injectors. If you cant get it to start your firing order could be off.

 

Hows the ground on the thermostat housing? *shrugs*

Also check the timing belt and make sure its lined up correctly...

 

does the fuel pump prime? does tha car have any gas? (sounds dumb, but it could be out)

 

How long did the car sit and not run? I've done two swaps where the injectors were "stuck". This sounds like your problem. Touch a screwdriver to the injector body and place your ear to the end of the handle. You should hear a very audible click. If you don't, it's probably stuck injectors. While cranking, try tapping on the injector lightly. Sometimes that will break them loose and they'll start firing.

 

remove the injectors and clean them out really good. and spray them down with some wd 40 they should break loose and be clean too.

 

I have a friend with another crx. The problem is and I dont know why? The 2 second prime that is heard and the main relay clicks.. My car does not do it. At the same time ecu pin a1,a3,a5,a7 have power when the should only have power when the car is running.
Any help I am now confusing alot of people.

Check all ground, sanded , check injectors all click and work, the are new rc, check all wire to main relay. Every thing checks out but the fuel pump yellow. There is no voltage. When jumped the fuel pump comes on but the car still does not start because of the injector not pulsing.

On my friends car pin a1,a3,a5,a7 hold a test light on each pin, turn the key on to acc test light goes on for 2 second and then off. My $500 car does not do that.
Main relay is also new, tried swapping resistor still nothing. any other info

 

hmm. i bought my crx real cheap (800) and it had been sitting for al ong time. The original problem was a rat chewed the harness off the injectors. but when fixed car would crank but not run unless directly spayed with starter, but wouldnt last long (seconds).

The problem in the end was once the fue tank was dropped out, we found out that the rat had chewed the wires to the fuel pump. You mentioned some things aobut the pump, but checking the entire wiring to it maybe?

 

the pump works if I use the main relay and jump it pin5 and 7 I just dont here that 2 second prime
