Default worked fine with old amp but now their is engine noise with new but same model amp.

yes i seen their are other posts and read them. I think Its my amp but want to make sure. but here is the story

I bought 2 12'' Rockford Fosgate P3's, a q-logic box ported/sealed, Rockford Fosgate CPRG11 Riot Gamma Speaker wire 11AWG, Rockford Fosgate 2AWG power and ground wire, Rockford fosgate CPR-600 Riot Signal Cable(RCA's), Pioneer DEH-P7700MP 50WX4

alright I had best buy install the deck, power and ground wires, and RCA's. I put the rest in and hooked it up and it sounded good no noise. I had it going good for about 2 months until the amp went for no reason. since it was under warrenty I got a new one from Bestbuy. I installed the new one and now I have a whineing comming through my SUBWOOFERS ONLY. and my Subwoofers POP when I turn on and off the car.
I read other posts and i checked over it all and it all seems good. (no wires are thouching eachother/overlapping)

what else should I look at or is this for sure the amp and I should return it?

ill take a video tommorow but reight now i have to go to sleep for school tommorow. also ill try and explain a little more and take a pic of my setup and how it all is wired.

also is it ok to use my system like this till i get it all figured out?

It could be possiable that when the sub amp went out it blew the rca output that it was connected to. I have had this problem with customers that had set there subs that are in a box connected to the amp touch the amp with the speaker leads and blow the amps power filter and blow the headunit rca output. I would look at the headunit as being a suspect in your problem

alright I just messed with it some more and here is more of what happens
-Starts when CD player turns on(car is on)-engine noise comes through
-(car off) and cd player on it still makes a VERY quiet humm but its their.
-Stops when you turn off the cd player but car is running
-Goes with engin RPM's when it is all on
-makes a louder pop when breaks are applied on the car
-only does it now that I have the same model but different amp. dident do it with other. dont have the old as it was returned due to a MF defect.

I battled this forever. Take two pieces of wire and wrap them around the metal contacts on your rcas then screw/tape them to the deck chassis. Problem solved. Just need to reground the rca cables.

Probably a "ground loop isolator" or "noise filter" spelled b-a-n-d-a-i-d 94

Sounds like you have a serious ground loop which could be the reason your amp went for "no reason".

I would dump the bandaid and fix the problem correctly.

I had this problem before, ground your head unit at the same spot as your amp so you don't get the ground loop, that will fix it. I just took the ground directly from the wiring harness and took it all the way down the length of the car and grounded it in same spot as the amp. Also, make sure your rca's are not run down the car right next to the power, you want them on opposite sides of the car.

then just make sure you're grounding all your amps and head unit at the same spot, this will keep you from getting the negative ground loop.
