is it possible to use a s20 tranny from a sohc vtec in a ef? i know the mounts are different but are there any ways around it? i can buy the cable to hydro kit but i need to know how to reposition the mounts

 

as long as its a d series you should be able to just use the factory mount for the S20 hydro, then use the conv. kit.

D-series to D-series will fit on the motor, but you might need different motor mounts.

 

I think the Hydro tranny mount is different. Most hydro-cable kits I've seen have mounts with them

 

i've only found b series conversion kits no d series stuff

 

where did you find the hydro to cable conversion? i know hasport makes it for the B but no love on the D. are you making it?

Haha, maybe it was for a B then. Didn't pay attention. Oops!

 

the conversion part should be the same. its the mount thats different. think about it when you have a hydro d-series EG and you swap a b series with a hydro in, it works. As long as you have the motor mount for hydro d series tranny you should be ok.
