I have two options:
1. Park my 91 CRX Si in the garage and do extensive body work/paint and buy another beater to get around in the winter.
2. Sell the CRX now and get a new platform that would be DD and weekend warrior.
I'm a true-blue EFer. This is my 4th CRX and I've only ever driven CRX's.
[Sold as
1991 Honda CRX Si
App. 240k on body
160k on D16a6
240k on Si Tranny
New Stage 1 Clutch
2.5" Exhaust to Dynomax with chikara header
Integra Intake tube with filter
Repainted Valve Cover
Brand New Battery relocated to the rear.
Full Stock Si Interior
Si Floormats in great condition
Stock Steering wheel
Stock Guage Cluster
Great Condition 89 Si carpet
Overall what you see is more or less a stock CRX Si. It has stock struts with neuspeed lowering springs sitting on stock 14 allow wheels with good condition street tires. It means alot more to me then a stock CRX because I built it from the ground.
I received the CRX as a shell from my brother with no interior, suspension, or motor/tranny. I built it up with all my parts and recently dropped in a fresh a6 with 150k, more or less trying to restore it to original condition. The cars real clean for a CRX. Has minor dings, one small dent that needs repair on drivers side door hinge. Driver side fender and rear bumper are painted flat red. Overall its 99% rust free. The rear 1/4s were rolled in to fit wider rims, regretfully, so some surface rust is beginning to form, but is by no means rotted or showing rust. Theres a slight wire tuck in the engine bay, but some things are still in sight as you will see.
On to pictures:

Needs:
Alignment
Front and Rear Sway Bars
Eventual Paintjob/Small Body work
It's been a great car to get around in. I just tuned it down from a PG7 Ecu and advanced timing, to stock pm6 and stock timing. It averages 35-37 MPG doing both city and highway. It runs like a champ and really doesnt burn oil unless your past 4k alot. I love the car alot and its a great platform and I've never considered moving on but I'm thinking I need to step my game up and either do the body work and make it more of a race-car and get it off the streets before someone totals it or sell it to someone who will get the work done and I'll move up to a new platform. My bros mint 90 dx just got smashed and it makes me think if I should continue to drive it on the streets of NJ.
1. What would you pay for it? Ebay Price and HT Price.
A. Would you take it off insurance and drain your bank account to get a newer car to get around in the winter while overhauling the CRX?
B. Or would you sell it for as much you can get and buy a newer car.
Potential Car List:
88-91 CRX
88-91 EF Sedan
88-91 AWD Wagovan
93-97 Accord Coupe
92-95 EG Hatch or Del Sol
89-92 DA
93-96 Prelude
92-98ish Camaro or Firebird
or
90 Fox body Mustang
Any advice is appreciated. Any guys who have dealt with me on H-T know I love my CRX and I mean business.

buy a DA GSR. You should be able to pick one up for cheap and they're a nice car if it's well maintained.</TD></TR></TABLE>
So are saying I should keep it and buy a DA to get around in?
I'm considering taking it off the insurance and parking it over the winter. Meanwhile I'd drive a beater around and dump money into the CRX.
The CRX is a big part of my life. Random girls I've talked to know me because of the car. People who I dont give a **** about somehow remember me for the CRX. It is clean and thats why i'm leaning towards keeping it, im just worried its gonna get totaled.

Clean rex , since your plans are to stay in the ef game or not bailing out of tuning all together i'd say you better hang on to it.
Though i'm not feeling the white , red , and black Camo valve cover your sporting under the hood......

You might want to try to source a clean stock valve cover instead , all those layers of paint would tend to slow the transfer of heat .

Hey man, I don't know if you remember me but I bought the Prelude rims off of you last year. I would suggest you overhaul the CRX. It is much more gratifying building your own car and driving it. Specially with the history you have with the car, just keep it in the family. In the end I'm sure noone knows your CRX like you know it.

buy some aircraft remover and repaint. just as good as a stock valve cover IMO.
I'd keep the rex and get a rwd car to dd and get parts for your build.

No IMO needed, it is
Paint that **** and before you clear coat it, use some fine grit to sand down your lettering a bit then polish that bad bnoy and check out the blingage
OP: Make it easy on yourself......sell me your CRX

I'm most likely gonna keep it and get the body work done. I have a bunch of little things I wanna do like: Valve Cover, Clean engine bay, Paint my panasports and get new tires, new struts/coilovers, and install my HF front sway and buy a new rear sway.
After that's done, I'd like to get the body work done and repainted.
In the meantime, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a cheap DD because I never get anything done to the car when I work 45-50 hours/week and drive it 350 miles in less then a week.
The A6 is staying though. Love that motor and am considering doing some headwork and new exhaust, or running an IHI mx6 turbo i have laying around.
Thanks for the advice guys.
