Default OT: The R finally sold. Here is the replacement.

Yes it is sad to say but my R is gone. I sold it 2 weeks ago to a guy in Kentucky. I didn't really realize how much that car meant to me until I saw someone else driving it away. The new owner is very cool and plans to be at many events. I am trying to get him to come up for Expo 7.

Anyway, I wanted to say that the ITR community is amazing. It is the only car I have owned where I totally felt a bond between all the owners. Not even the S2K guys are as tight as the ITR owners. Expo 3 was one of the best times I have ever had, and I plan to be at Expo 7 even without an R. For anyone purchasing an R or newbie R owners I encourage you to go to meets, races, events and meet others. You will not find a better crew

I might buy another R later down the road but for now I just had to move on. Thanks to HT and all the ITR owners for making this hobby so much fun I will still be an active HT member and keep on watching the progress of many of you. Good luck to all on your projects.

Well with no further ado here is my new daily driver. Nothing fast or crazy just a nice ride to work, in style

Hondatec38 came over with his sick DA so we snapped some shots.

2006 Royal Blue Pearl Acura TL w/ lip spoiler.

Thanks man The TL is 5AT. I test drove the 6spd and it was nice but I didnt really need it.

Ryan if I can make it up there I will try

My R went through many stages: Stock, Turbo, K20 and they were all fun in their own way.

Thanks for the awsome pics of my DA Nate. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be half of what I am today in this great community. I hope the TL gives you many years of enjoyment and I look forward to taking care of all it's service needs. See you at Maple Grove on the 10th.

I sold my SI a few months before the R. I am down to one car again. I ended up selling the car for 20k, took awhile but worth the wait for the right buyer. Thanks

Bad choice. If you wanted to stay out of ITRs this was a bad way to try it. I like TLs but unless it's one of the new TL-S, you're going to want something rougher in a month or two. Even Opie hated his TSX almost as soon as he got it, and that's a lot more like an ITR.

Good luck trying, though

I really like the look of this R. Hopefully the new owner will get involved in the community as well!

Did you smoke out your headlights and side markers? that's what it looks like if so what did you use? are they HID projectors or did you just smoke the lamps out?

I'm curious because I'm thinking of doing this as well.

Also, if that a CF hood painted black?

That wasnt my point at all. I was trying to get into a luxury sedan. I will get a secondary "fun" car when I buy a house with a garage.

Thanks ya I am really enjoying the TL.

No plans for the TL. Just going to drive it and enjoy the ride.

My headlights are smoked. The actual housing was sprayed gunmetal when I had my 05 TSX HID retrofit done by http://www.customlightz.com

My CF hood was not sprayed black it just looks dark in the pic.
