AEM V2 CAI interchangeable d series and b series ?
Like the title says wonder if the AEM V2 CAI interchangeable with d series and b series motor. I drive a 94 civic ex, stock motor. I really like this intake and would like to buy one with the bypass valve. But I have plans of a motor swap in the next couple of months. Searched but mostly came up with civics with a b series swap already asking about the intake. Thnx
i had a carb legal intake on my d15b and when i swpped to my B20 vtec it still fits. soo..im guessing it WOULD fit, but call up AEM and ask them.
No, they're not interchangeable....well they are but it's not worth it.
The V2 is about 2.25'' which will choke out a B series on the high end. If you're talking about B18 then go with an Aem ITR intake ( 3.0''), then cut the pipe right before it goes down. Then you'll have to grind off about an inch so that way it doesn't bend right into your fender lining.
At least, that's how it worked for my '97 civic
