How much money do you have? do you have something else to drive while you do this project? and how dependable do you want it? ha ha.
if it were me I would just do the swap. and then maybe eventually go turbo from there.

you'll get bored of the b16 in like a week.
i say go boost...more potential to make faster.
(unless you're talking about boosting the b16 later on, then i say go straight to the swap)

boost is better than 111 tq And besides, if he goes turbo, he won't really have the desire to individually index the intake and exhaust lobes.

boost the d15b. If for some reason you want to change to a b-series. Remember that a d-series turbo kit is only an exhaust manifold away from being a b-series turbo kit
aside from a turbo f-series in a civic, the most bang for the buck is either a turbo ls or a turbo d-series w/ rods + pistons.
which btw, to the OP, if you're looking into beefing up the d15b, take a look into the later pages of my build https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1670633

turbo the 1.5 depending on how far you want to push the singlecam . you d take a b16 in the same car as you any day of the week at 7 to 8 psi ..aslong as you dont have a super big turbo ..plus the girls love the soudn of the BOV

gets my vote.
If you dont have that much money then, i would turbo the singleslamer. I know a few people with some nice good hp setups.

I love how every person defending the shitty D automatically points to the torque number of the B16 like the D is a torque monster. The B16 is a better overall motor than the D in EVERY way. So what if you boost the D, I'd still take a NA b16.

they're what, 20% better and 300% more expensive. valve springs + cam = better investment.

I prefer the B series tranny also and "options" down the road and aftermarket potential make the B a much better choice hands down.
In the end people will do what they want.
