Now i did a search but came up with nothing.
I painted my valve cover today, and i have a general idea as to heat treatment for paint so it doesn't chip off.
Are they any specific things i should be aware of? I put the cover in the oven for like 10 min at 200 degrees. Its 500 degree paint so i should be ok.
Thanks guys.

Instead of curing it in the oven just taking a 30 minute drive can cure the paint as well.
Even powdercoating chips if it's hit hard enough.
Also, if you're using the hi-temp enamel spray paint, do no touch the cover at least for a good 6 hours after you finish the last coat, if you touch it even if it is dry to the touch, it will smear.
