Default I just bought a boosted gsr and have a ?

i turned on the car to drive it home and all is fine but i notice that the fans are on. should they be running all of the time? i have a gsr with jrsc. is there a relay that is bad or is it set up to run all the time with the SC?

thanks

they are probably just hooked on a switch for the when car starts so that they are always on, probably an over heating problem

Naw, He taped it, so it can be on all time..
I taped mine to a half size radiator.. It helps.. If im you just leave it alone and dont worry about.. Even if it doesnt overheat it still good for your car..

you can jump the radiator fan plug to have it stay on all the time. i've had mine like that before. as for adverse effects, I don't think there are any other than it might wear out the fan quicker.

the guy probably did it cause his fan switch died and he didnt want to spend the $20 to replace it. its the bronze looking plug on the thermostat housing. replace that and it will be all good. your fan always on is bad. it takes longer and sometime never will reach the correct operating temperature

the engine coolant temperature on the thermo housing. its a bronze looking sensor. you can make the fan run all the time by jumping its connector

How is it good for your car to take longer than normal to come up to operating temp? If it was so good Honda would have had the fans on all the time from the factory

You probably need a new thermo switch (like others have said). There aren't any DIY articles that I know of, but if you want to do any work on your own you should purchase a factory service manual.
