Tanabe Sustec Pro SS type 2 VS Tein SS
I have a 96 honda civic coupe. I am going to drop and new B-series motor in it so that means more weight in the front. Also its going use this car as a daily driven car but would like the suspention to work well at the drag strips. The car will be lower 2.5 inches front and 2.0 rear...something like that where the very top of the tires will tuck in the front. From what I hear...the Tein SS bottoms out and has a stiffer ride(popcorns alittle) vs the tanabe which is soft and will be better for daily driven car and are not good at the tracks. All I really want to know is which setup is best for its bucks and which one will ride better on the street/strip. Also what are your guys' experience with these coilovers? Should I get the integra application coilovers for my car so it would stiffer?

i'm about to put my sustec pros in either tonight or tomorrow... I've got tokico blues w/ gold line springs... I'll let you know the differance between the 2...
I have sustec pro SS (not type II which has helper springs) from a DC integra in my DA integra. They are fantastic for the street, they ride better than a lot of spring and shock kits I have tried. The damping adjustment is actually pretty decent. I bet the Sustec Pro S-0C is just as good for street driving even without the adjustment.
I autocross a lot and they are too soft for me now, I will upgrade again eventually. Also I think the integra and civic kits are the same they have the same part number and the rates are the same.
The amount they lower for me will be way different for you, since they are on a DA I have different length front forks originally and longer rear shocks originally so I can't comment on that.
Some other information, the stamping on the shock bodies says KYB, the adjustment ***** and shock bodies look exactly like KYB AGX with threaded collars welded on for use with 60mm ID coil springs. They could be AGX's that are revalved but who knows.
