Hey guys, I just finished swapping in my new tranny....my car has been broke *** for 2 months now, so I figured now that it wasn't torn apart in the garage that I would give it some face time.

I bought the car last december(2000) 100% stock and have done all the work myself, and did the swap last may(2001). I think when I get back to work this summer I'm gonna give her the 'ol paint job and maybe slap on a 50 shot.

Your car looks nice on the outside and under the hood. The only thing I would have to reccomend to fix is that speedo. If I were you I would just buy a new one. That needles pretty off.

Don't buy a new one, just pop the cluster open and move it back in place with your finger.

 

lol.....yeah, I'm suprised you caught that. Thats what I am working on right now(the speedo needle). So far though no one has noticed that my oil psi is off the charts - whats up with that? I think that it isn't grounded properly (the sender unit), but haven't had the motivation to really check on that.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm trying to decide right now wether to just paint it as is, or go the body kit route. Any suggestions?

Is that a black hood? **** NO!!!!! Look at the pics man, or read my sig on the first thread. My hood is definetely carbon fiber - I'm not a freakin moron - lol. Anyone that paints there hood black with a car that is not black has some serious issues.

really rare huh? hmmmmm...didn't know they were rare. I guess I feel special or something now. I'm gonna paint it s2000 yellow though, so it won't be that color for long.

My friend has a buisness license and does a little bit of distributing, but I get everything for cost....so I got the AGX's through him.

As far as the tach's go. The stock tach sticks through about 3000 RPM's due to the indiglo gauges not sitting completely flush. I have put a dab of super glue on the backs before and that worked for a while, but didn't work forever.

 

looks good. About getting a body kit and ****. I wouldn't but hey that is me. I like the slightly modified stock look.Like a lip kit or something.Nothing too FLASHY.

 

Seeing a VTEC B-series motor in a USDM EF never fails to catch my eye. I could stare at my engine bay for hours!

 

you know how your stock tach said 2k but your 5" said 2500..? that happens with my friends b16 swap also.. it's gay.. does anyone else have this problem?

 

yeah, the only reason my stock tach is less than my 5" tach is because my stock tach sticks due to the indiglo gauges, but once it breaks loose, they read exactly the same.

Who ever mentioned the front lip...I would love a lip, but I can't seem to find them. Carbon fiber would be awesome, but doubtful that anyone makes them. Anyone know where I can get a lip for my crx?
