Default JDM ITR 5 lug 36m axle spline HELP

When using a JDM ITR 5 lug conversion they use a 36mm axel spline instead of the USDM 32mm. I have brand new 32mm axles, how do I do this?

Sell the 32mm ends and buy 36mm ends is about the only way out of it, either that or get 32mm USDM hubs to use.

or buy jdm 36 mm axles which will bolt on to the jdm R spindles. I think JDM axles are a bit longer than 32 mm axles...im sure someone has a set for sale.

Im just going to convert my conversion to USDM. Its $230 for 2 hubs from the dealer and they will press out the old ones and press in the new ones for $100 they say.

Or I can find a garage who can press them out/in, this is commonly done on older cars so most shops should be able to do it for a fair price.

Wanna sell the 36mm hubs when you're done with them? Let me know, I'll take them off your hands.

The JDM knuckles and USDM knuckles are different.

You will not be able to convert because the diameter of the wheel bearing off a JDM knuckle is LARGER than a USDM knuckle.

Your best bet is to have the axle customized and put an Accord/Prelude end on it to fit into your JDM suspension setup.

94rs-turbo and I found this out all the hard way.

That was a pain in the ***, all you can use from the jdm front brakes are the calipers and rotors. Front knuckle, bearing, hub, are all different fron the US and are useless. I have bent jdm one outside to prove it.

wow thats so gay. What im gonna do is take my GSR USDM front knuckles and hubs, press those out and press in the USDM ITR hub, reuse the US bearing, that will work.

Kinda gay I have to take all these knuckles and hubs , 6 of them to a press shop.

SO thats USDM GSR front hub/knuckle assembly, USDM ITR hubs, and JDM ITR knuckle/hub assembly. Wow.

yeah thats I meant. I will just take my USDM knuckle/hub and get the USDM ITR pressed in.

Your right the only good parts ont he JDM conversion are the brake rotors/calipers (if they dont need to be replaced/rebuilt)

Ya know I was looking at acuraparts247 and you can make your own USDM ITR conversion for a fair price using new parts. The only problem is finding the ITR front calipers/brackets parts stores dont have the brackets, only rebuild calipers. So you cant make it on your own unless you find those brackets (ya right but i have seen them on ebay very very rarely).

So, USDM ITR front hubs (120 each) pressed into your USDM integra knuckle and re-use your good condition bearing. Attach the ITR calipers/brackets/rotors and your front is done

The rear calipers and rotors are the same as ITR. The only difference int he rear is the trailing arms. Those things are $230 each! And of course the 2 hubs, $150 each with new bearings included. Did you know the GSR and ITR share the same rear caliper/bracket/rotor?! Wow! I found used ITR rear LCA's @ passwordjdm for $50.

Then you would buy new rotors/pads all around from a part store. $100 at my local shop. Plus getting those hubs pressedin, guessing $150 all 4. Thats the right way to do it.

That adds up to $1300 shipped at acura and your still looking for the front calipers/brackets because the dealer doesnt sell ITR front calipers anymore. the add in new rotors/pads and used rear LCA's so your at$1450. If your lucky, say you find the front calipers/brckets, say you get them both for $150. Now your at $1,600. Ouch. So I guess the used JDM parts is the best way to go.

Also just discovered ITR rear discs are .6" larger than GSR and the rear calipers have different part numbers than GSR, who knows if they are different they proabably are.

ya! i heard the prelude calipers are the same as ITR and have a similar, 23t, 25t, or 28t bracket that works. So i guess fidning the calipers are no big deal.

go to a axle place and tell them you want prelude ends, the preludes run 36mm axles, accords too. simple they charge 10-15 bucks extra.

Well im not sure what an "axle place" is because there is no such thing also how do you know they would charge $10-15?

You may be reffering to any "mechanic" because any mechanic can do it. You would need to provide the prelude axle and the OEM axle and have them do it up.

Seeing as this car will be pushing minimum 300whp I may be breaking axles often and am not ready to drop $500 on race axles. Thats why I want 32mm hubs so I can toss in new axles when they break.

by axle place i mean axle shops, there's are few around my house, they specialize in axles, ABC alxes for example, a lot of people go there when they put h22 in integra/civics, or k20 axles, they will make whatever you want.

According to this guy the CRV axles drop right in no mods no BS. Trying to confirm with him which ones to buy ABS or non ABS.
