Default car cuts out after 6500 rpms!

ok wtf is up with this! It never did this until a few days ago! Car has been turboed for over a year!

d16z6 on 10psi 14b
crome,390s, walbro 255

Ok well all of a suddent the car only wants to push around 9psi runs really rough and kinda jerky and if i floor it it automatically cuts out at 6500rpms?? Its like it shuts off completly until i let off the gas?? It doesnt seem to do it unless im florred doing it! I thought it was my boost limiter in crome but im only pushing like 9psi right now and my limiter is at 10.8 psi!! What would cause the car to suddenly run crappy and cut out like that?? I tried burning a new chip with the same map on it and it did the same thing. Its been running perfectly fine and then suddenly without changing anything it started doing this! WTF anyone have a idea of what is going on?? Thanks!

im not sure whats causing it to cut out, but seems like your driving your car pretty damn hard.

If i may suggest...dont get your car to 6500 rpms, might solve the cutting out

Don't be an *** to people? That'd help.

And second, did you check for codes?

i have the exact same setup you do
d16z6 hf manifold 14b dsm 450cc's tuned on chrome pro at 9 psi

i was having the same problem in my car a couple weeks ago, mine would pull very hard the first couple pulls especially in 1st gear but after that 2nd and 3rd gears it slowly made its way up from 4500 to 7000 rpm hesitating to go past 6500

then my fuel relay started acting up and my fuel pump would not come on
i unplugged my fuel relay and plugged it back in, and i bought a new walbro fuel pump for saftey measures and its never felt better

im really hard on my car so i guess i might have just wore out my pump???

what size exhaust do you have?? you might have restricted it somehow?

hmm! well mine doesnt hesitate it straight up just wont go over 6500 if im hard on the gas! Umm my walbro is hard wired straight into the ignition to come on constatnly as long as the car is on. Its on 2.5 exhaust. Kinda small but i used to be turboed with stock all the way back lmao!!

Is it completely cutting out? Or bogging? Backfiring/detonating?

sounds like your rev limiter or fuel cutoff

sounds strange it usually it kicks in a 7200 maybe you should look at the tune

just a guess

it isnt the rev limiter or a fuel cutoff! Im almost dead postive its my igniton cutting out! My afr's go from low 12s high 11s to 10s! When it cuts out like this! So i know its getting fuel!

I'm having the same problem. D16Y5 with a GT28R. I'm taking it to the track this weekend, hopefully I'll figure it out.

And to the guy that said don't drive the car so hard

well ive already complety swapped distributors, what else on the igntion should i check! The cap, rotor, plugs, wires are all perfect! BUT i am running the ngk race plugs non resister type! And i read that sometimes the non resister can mess with the ecu?? SO im going to try different plugs!

i don't know if its the cause of your problems but you definitely don't NEED to run race plugs. OEM stuff has been proven to work w/ big numbers.
