why an SI harness?

why an SI harness?
i just a D16 SOHC non-vtec from hmotors online. it came with a cut harness on the motor. can i use the parts off of that harness to modify my DPFI harness to MPFI? From what i have read i need a harness from an SI. Exactly what am i going to need from the doner harness to make mine MPFI? thanks.
