Doing us all a favor... help contribute!
I am composing a list of all the problems, and technical questions that I can find on these boards. Regarding almost any aspect of the car as I can. This is a self help thread, quick seeking info on tech specs.
basically any info that has to do with stock parts, problems, or concerns... go in this document. Help me fill it, maybe we can cut down on people asking useless questions that we answer over and over only for the sake of our post count.

Posted this in another thread, but it gets asked quite frequently...

Your CEL doesnt have to be on, and most likely wont be on even if you need the reflash.
Defect code is 03217
Symptom code is 09114
Its a simple update performed via the HDS tablet and takes about 10 mintues to complete
Many people out of the VIN range still think they need it but they dont. You may experience similar symptoms with revhang/bucking but give the ECU some time to learn your driving and it will all smooth out. The first gear bucking complaint is only an issue if the car is started cold and driven right away. The ECU is trying to keep the rev's high to get the car to normal operating temp ASAP to avoid damage... completley normal tho. also any drive by wire setup has some sort of revhang/lag, again nothing to be concerned about </TD></TR></TABLE>
Rear tray(interior panel where speakers/sub are mounted): Rattles when playing music and sometimes when radio is off. : There is a bulliten for this one too, cant remember the # off the top of my head tho. FIX take it to the dealer. Honda calls for two specific padding/felt materials to be placed in specific postions to get rid of rattles.
nosiey front struts.. problem with very few FG's, i'm assuming the earliest ones had this problem more so than others. replaceable under warranty assuming suspension is unmodified.
*newest one i've heard from honda is a problem with the rear window on 06 civic coupes seperating from the body of the vehicle. cant remember the details but effected vehicles will be notified. Calls for window replacements. THIS IS A VERY RARE OCCURANCE , no need to rush to your dealership and freak out.
Break in for motors: The most important step is leaving the oil in for 5k miles OR when your oil life reaches ~20%. Honda is one of the few companies that use a real break-in oil from the assembly line, so its cruical that you leave it in as long as possible(not to mention changing in it sooner than the maint. minder tells you to is COMPLETELY pointless and a waste of precious oil). also, There are no advantages to swithing to synthetic. Drive the **** out of it or baby it everywhere for the first bit of miles... doesnt make a difference just be sure to open it up every once and while.

Troubleshoot -- Problems
Condensation under passenger dash - due to long rides with the A/C on, probably due to
condensating air ducts. Assumed to be only with recirculation on.
Fixes: N/A as of now.
Visors and Heat - Visor defect, not recalled by honda. In extreme heat some cars have
experienced the visors coming apart at the hinge. Honda will replace under
warranty.
Fixes: Dealer orders you new ones.
SI SPECIFIC: 3rd Gear - The syncros in this transmission have had this problem of
not shifting correctly, or kicking the stick out of gear in some cases,
for some time. Not just in the SI but in past RSX models as well.
Fixes: Let the car warm up.
Trunk Drain - There has been incident of the drain tube that helps take water out from
around the trunk lid coming unpluged, and filling the trunk with water in heavy
rains.
Fixes: Dealer replacement, underwarranty.
Speaker/Sub Rattle - Many models, are experiencing a rattle when playing music loudly,
coming from the mounting platform in the rear window. Honda supposedly has
a bulletin for this fix.
Fixes: Dealer installs padding, rattle disappears.
Front Strut Noise - Few people are reporting noisey struts, as this problem is rare honda
has not issued a bulletin. However, should you be able to recreate the problem,
the dealer should be able to replace or fix the problem under warranty.
Fixes: Explained Above.
Rear Window Seperation - This one is something that is probably limited to one or two
vehicles. Not something to worry about. It is suggested that Honda is aware
of which models were effected, owners should be notified.
Fixes: Dealer Warranty
SI SPECIFIC: REv HANG/REFLASH - The rev hang and bucking most early production SIs
experience has been IMPROVED, not fixed, via a reflash produced by honda.
Bulletin 06-052
Vin Range: (last 5 digits) 00001 - 07606
Defect code: 03217
Symptom Code: 09114
NOTE*** A lot of dealers are unaware of this, or try to give the excuse
"Yours is already up to date..." If it falls in the VIN range, it can be
flashed.

They are putting a new spring on my transmission next week. Hopefully it fixes it. Will update after the work is done.

Can we put something in the sticky re scheduled service (when you are not the original owner, if any items were missed or ignored by the previous owner that would be a concern)
ie what major service should be done at 50k, 100k, etc.
I know follow the Maintenance minder, but I picked up a used Civic with 125,oookms on it.
Thanks
