Default Best way to align Mugen shift ****

I have the Mugen *****. I need an easy way to align it, thread tape isnt working too well. I am used to having ITR ***** with the reverse threaded nut and switched over to the mugen because of the lower drop since the threads start 3/4 the way up the ****. Whats your suggestion, a nut cannot be used, and thread tape...maybe I didnt take enought time..but its not really stopping it from going any farther.

And yes, the mugen *****

find something circular that will fit loosely inside the shifter and just find which keeps the shifter up just enough to align the logo....... Make sure it's a solid mass (like wood disc or plastic or metal of some flavor, so you can crank it down and have it stay tight.

Not really sure what else will work..... but that's the simplest idea I came up with.

Sounds cheap but I would use little bits of straw wrapper. I would keep adding little by little till when it was snug it was in the right position.

weld the nut on the bottom of the **** that fit on your shifter thread, and put another one on the shifter. then tight them together.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BrownEyed &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">weld the nut on the bottom of the **** that fit on your shifter thread, and put another one on the shifter. then tight them together. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Only thing is, the threads start halfway up the shifter, not at the bottom like the ITRs that I am used to, it would work for an ITR by just using a nut..but, not with this applicaiton, ill have it all done today though, easy fix, good idea from carbonizeddx.
