Default Rebuilding Engine: Opinions on my new 400whp Setup!

Compression went to hell in cylinder #2. (240 250 140 245) So its time for a rebuild. Previously it was just a boosted stock GSR, was about to tune on 10-12 psi and try for 300hp. I'm now aiming for around 400hp.

Turbo setup:
Garret t3/t4oe 57trim .60/.63a/r
SPoolin Log manifold
Spearco large FMIC
Drag Charge Pipes (2.5''-2.25'' cold -- 2'' hot)
Precision 780cc Peak and Hold
Tial 35mm WG
previously tuned on crome

Rebuilt setup:
2.5'' SPoolin charge pipes
Stage 3 Clutchmasters clutch/pressure plate
new axles
all new gaskets
Micropolish crank
bore block .20 over (81.5mm)
resurface/deck head&block
new bearings, headstuds, headgasket
Skunk2 IM w/ hondata gasket
CP 9:1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Hondata - will be tuned by mase

I know my log manifold is a restriction but I want to easily keep A/C and P/S and have no need replacing it at the moment.

Everything seems good, aside from you switching from Crome to Hondata, why not go with Neptune???

mase prefers hondata. Its what he tuned 3 of my friends 400+hp cars on and they run incredibly good.

Everything looks good. Maybe want to think about injectors unless you already have some. I dont think you need new axles.

But everything looks good. Shouldnt be hard to hit your goal

Thanks for the kind words, yah running 780cc precisions from the previous setup. When the motor was taken out the axels fell apart. The bearings just popped right off. Just going to get some from advanced auto parts Advanved Auto part lifetime warranty > Gator and DSS axles anyday

the only thing i have a problem/concern with is the .20 overbore...i'm hoping to not have to bore over to an 81.5mm because i want as much of the stock sleeve as possible...idk if that's a valid concern or not

What is your setup if you dont mind me asking?

Stock B18's are 81mm. I'm confused on how 81.5mm is that large of an overbore. I didnt think you could obtain fresh cylinder walls with anything less than 81.5mm or find pistons for anything bored out lower than 81.5mm (besides stock 81mm). And i'm pretty sure the cylinders are heavily scared after 98,000miles and a blown piston ring.

its not that big of an overbore, but personally i'm going to keep as much of the sleeve as i can. I'm sure it doesn't matter one bit because if its going to break, .5mm isn't going to stop it.

Lifetime warranty axles here too!1
