OMG! MY INTAKE MANIFOLD IS FILLED WITH GAS!!! HELP!
I just swapped in a d15b1 into my 91 dx hatch and converted it to MPFI at the same time.. I left the fuel injector clips and spark plug wires unplugged so I could build oil pressure then hook them back up.. then I tryed turning it over and it just cranked (obviousely) then it started sounding like 2 cylinders lost compression then a few seconds later it like sized and sounds like the starter cant turn it over. so I look at the motor and I see gas dripping from my throttle body, I open it up and look inside and it is FULL of gas. I took the exhuast manifold off and turned the motor over by hand till only a small mist of gas was comming out of the cylinders and hooked the fuel injectors and spark plug wires up and it wont turn over now still.. just makes a Click like it did before it quit.. someone please help and tell me where I could have made a mistake for this to happen. Thanks

He said he was able to turn the motor by hand. Sounds like a battery or starter to me.

I just switched starters and now all I hear is a relay in the interior clicking.. nothing from the different starter.. I left the engine sit over night and it doesnt spit any gas out now when I turn it over by hand..
u have some thing wrong with the multiport swap i have never heard of a manifold filling up with that much gas? ?? i did say wiring and battery or bad ground. is there still gas in the manifold. i would prop the throttlebody open and pull the spark plugs out. i would also plug the fuel line to the IM because maybe there no pressure to stopping the fuel. just let the motor air out for now and don't turn it over because fuel and spark work really well together.lol check u r wiring and fuel lines. if the manifold is fine make sure u don't have anyfuel leaking any were and jump the battery.

sound like wiring: battery or grounds. how old is the battery, and how long was it out on the car. there should be two wires goin to the starter i think. also check fuses underhood, and dash.

Dude..
First of all get a fire extinquisher...
Sounds like you might need one..
I would disconnect the distributor so it won't fire,
Then remove all four spark plugs and see if it will turn over..
Be prepared for gas to come shooting out
as it sounds like the cylinders are full..
recheck your wiring and please don't set yourself on fire..
