so i was cruising down the highway..when i thought i had a flat tire, every time i would accelerate the whole front of the car would shake and when i let go of the gas it would stop, took it to a Firestone tire shop (it was a block away), i left my car there and damn, WHAT A RIP OFF!!!, i came back 2 hours later and they told me that they didn't know what it was, so i called my friend and he came and in 10 min, he checked it, drove it and told me my driver side axle was lose and had to replace it....my friend took 10 min to do what Firestone did in 2 hours!!!...and they supposedly specialize in that area, so they were charging me 360 bucks to replace 1 axle and they still had the nerve to charge me 20 bucks for checking my car!!!!!

so my story ends that my car is in my friends house, do you guys think its ok to buy a rebuilt axle?...wheres a good place to buy an axle?

yea your fine getting a rebuilt one, but look around at other places (any parts store) and get prices, get a new one if the price diff. is not to much.

 

theres one place 60 bucks brand new, i think its GCK, or something like that

 

Just wondering how many mile is on your car? Cause I have 150K and I don't know if I should change it or not.

well i have 140k, and i replaced the passenger side, and now the driver side will be done tomorrow
