I have 205/45/17's, my car says i need 29 psi in front & rear for LS.

 

um.. on the side wall of the tires... it tells u the psi max... put air amount near that...

Start with the 29 psig. Tire pressure needs to be tuned slightly for both your suspension and tires.

 

yea cuz i have adjustable coilovers and i actually have 205/40/17's. So i should put 29 psi.

My guess is that you will settle in the low 30 psig range. You need to tune both the ride and the handling to your taste.

DON'T use the max inflation on the sidewall as the pressure to set. That's like saying that your speedometer goes up to 140 so you should be driving around at 140 mph all the time. (Not that that wouldn't be fun. )

In general, it's a good idea to set the tire pressure recommended by the car's manufacturer as a starting point, and then adjust from there based on personal preference, treadwear patterns, etc.

The recommended pressure for the non-VTEC Integras is 29 all around, I believe. The recommended pressure for the VTEC Integras (GS-R and Type R) is 35 front, 33 rear. I believe this was done because 35F/33R gives better handling, while 29 all around provides a more comfortable ride. For a starting point, I would choose from these based on your own personal preference for performance vs ride comfort, or you can set it to something in between for a blend of both. Then adjust it in 2 psi increments based on your experience.
