Power source for gauges, etc.
As of now I have three cobalt Autometer gauges, mini shift light, Vafc and a Turbosmart single stage boost controller tapped into my CD players' switched 12v power via a distribution block to power up all these accessories. A 10amp fuse is in line to the CD player and it has not blown so I'm assuming that it is okay to have all these things tapped in to that single power source. I just need to make sure that this is in fact a safe/reliable method of getting power source to all these accessories or if I should do it differently via a relay or an alternative switched power source. I just want to make sure that I am not getting weak voltage particularly to the boost controller. I want to keep all these things into one power source and distribution block to keep the wiring clean so if anyone has a better idea let me know otherwise I'll just keep it how it is. Thanks
What is the MM&Y of the car?
Most Honda/Acuras have "free pins" on the under dash fuse box, for just those kind of things, [adding power accessories to your car], they are male spade terminals that use this kind of connector... http://www.scosche.com/scosche...0-100 if your car has free pins, you will find a 12V+ constant, a 12V+ acc., a 12v+ 2nd ign., and a 12V+ park light, [input, for park light flash for an alarm and output, for lights in gauges, same free pin]
