Default hi flow cat.

i got what looks like a true, high quality hi flo cat with my new b16a3 w/ctr camshafts del Sol, im gonna put on a 2 1/4 exhaust with hi flow magnaflow muffler. I will use the stock header for now.
The "cat" is not a test pipe, but not a honeycomb, maybe just another muffler kind of material--its straight through, with material surrounding the exhaust gas passage in the middle.
It also rattles a little when i shake it like theres bits of material broken off inside somewhere.
My questions are this: do you think it is a muffler or a cat material?
And how horriblely raspy will it be with the pieces broken in there, and will it screw up my (beautiful sounding) muffler if the bits move down the line?

And yeah, im only using the test pipe or hi flow cat or whatever it is for racing apps.

Cat's are not straight through. It's a test pipe. It will make it louder and may even rattle since it sounds like it's falling apart already.

Yeah, your right its definitely just a muffler. So will it sound like complete ***? And could it destroy my other muffler farther down the line of those pieces come loose?
