Default ITR intake cam?

I have a B16, I bought GSR cams for it and then someone offered me a ITR intake cam. Would it be pointless to install just the ITR intake cam with GSR exhaust?

The ITR intake cam with the GSR exhaust cam will be an improvement.

Peep this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1220642 and look at point (C) on the second picture down..

They are virtually the same (though the CTR cam is said to have 3 degrees more duration, which is negligible)..

By the way 94b16teg, I just did very similar to what you're considering (mine is an 00-01 ITR intake cam in my '01 GSR motor with the stock GSR exhaust cam) last week and there was a noticeable gain in horsepower as well as a deeper tone in vtec...I say do it

interesting thread...... but anyways, I have a ctr intake cam w/ gsr exhaust cam. Yes, there is a noticeable gain in the high end, but its not a night and day difference. On a b16a, you'll probably actually notice better improvements in comparison to the stock b16a cams. As for differences between the itr and ctr cams, for the amount of power your gaining, its kinda stupid to argue that theres a differences between the two. Yes, they are different and the durations and lift are different, but seriously, get on the dyno and you'll see that they'll produce basically the same power. The itr/ctr cams have been debated, discussed, and talked about with dyno proven results and pictures on h-t. Do a search in the archives and recent and you'll find more info you'll ever need to know about itr or ctr cams!

The funny thing is that im not getting spanked considering my car has a lot of extra weight to haul. In the 1/8mile his best is 10.07 and hes been racing cars for years, my first time Ever at the strip and i ran a best of 10.19, so it's very close. I do plan on goin LS/Vtec but dont have to funds right now. My integra is a 94GSR and the one i raced was a 91 RS. On another note he raced my friend in his 94GSR with a b18c1 with all the same mods and the GSR barley beat him. I really dont see why you have to talk smack instead of tryin to help like you should. Isnt that was a forum is for?
