I think its my injectors or tps.
1999 Civic SI B16A2 Stock except for k&n air filter.
I'll be driving and then the car will slow down then speed back with out the throttle moving. Somtimes i am idling at a light and the idle dipps down really low and almost shuts off but then revs back to normal idle. Once i swore it was running on three cylinders. I love my car and don't want it to die.
I am gonna change out plugs tomorrow to rule that out for some reason.
1999 Civic Si, A while back i threw a tps code and i think a knock sensor code.

I hope the links to pictures work. Those are butt connectors wired to i think my tps.
My car when driving will slow down and speed up with the throttle in the same spot.
Could this be the problem?
What does the knock sensor do?

since you have a ob2 ecu i would just take it to a local part store and have them read the ecu for any CEL.
i would also look into your FITV (fast idle thermo valve), or your iacv (idle air control valve). they both get dirty sometimes and cause this.

So if you cant see the picture. just give me an expert opinion. So as stated before i am throwing i think a tps code. my car slows down and speeds up and **** while i drive its annoying. I go out today to investigate futher to find.
My tps looks fine, but the the wire connected to it is cut in the middle and another length of wire was added, about 15inchesand its all bunched up and wrapped with electrical tape, and held together to the other wires with butt connectors and no shrink wrap or tap on them. Could this be one reason my car is messed up.

either have someone hook up a scan tool and read the voltate on the TPS like that. you should have ~.5v with the throttle closed and ~4.5v with it wide open.
you can check this with a meter if you can't get access to a scan tool.
the pins you need to take voltage from are on the D connector of your ecu. you need to read between C27 and C18 see image below

any honda TPS will work if you have to replace it. remember to calibrate the new one to the above voltage readings if you have to replace yours.
the other sensor to check is your MAP. it could cause this screwy thing as well.
and for the love of God or Money, solder those conections to your tps plug!!! if you need another plug with longer wires on it i will send you one. just give me your address

Hmmm throws a tps sensor cel and the car acts like the throttle position is being moved...I wonder what it could be?!?!
Try unplugging the tps and drive, see if it helps. If it does, it is definately the tps.... dur dur dur

The car was wired *** is when i got it. i just noticed that today.
I am gonna solder the wire and shrink wrap it then test it with the meter. if that doesn't work i'll try the other thing. Thanks for the responses guys. Hope it works.
