Actually Integra Type R's are equipped with special light weight pedal pads. It is a mixture of exotic metals and plastics including, unobtanium and universitaniumide. These are produced under the careful eye of Japanese Honda Engineers. The same that hand built the Integra Type R from ground up pouring each mold for every single nut and bolt for the car.

WOW!!! Where did they find this Unobtainable? I've been looking for it for years for my muffler bearing project. If you have an inside source, could you hook me up?

Believe it or not we currently have a TSB#01-15782 Out on the product right now. Some owners have been experiencing some friction issues and it is causing the pedals to grip more so than others. In most extreme cases the soles off of shoes have been ripped off during normal heel-toe excercises. Members of the ITRCA committee has submitted an official reparations document to American Honda.
American Honda has been looking for a more safe and alternate method for these high performance lightweight pedals.
gogogomoveit, Originally the pedals were suppose to be numbered using a special Formula. You take earth's gravitational pull on the moon, divided by the amount of planets in orbit in our solar system, and multiply it by the amount of ITRs that were built in 97 and 99 and imported to the US. The problem then lies in the fact that we did not recieve 99 model ITRs in the US and Pluto is no longer a planet.

Hahaha, all these metal alloys reduce the weight of ITR pedals by 0.005 grams.
