Default BAck up lights

Just did a swap, 88 dx with an ls motor. all of a sudden, my back up lights aren't working. fuses are fine. any clue?

motor swaps have nadda to do w/ lights your bulbs burnt out? or you didnt hook up the reverse connection properly to the trans

The reverse light switch is in the tranny. That would be my first suspect in your case.....

yeah thats probably where the problem is. there's a yellow and a green wire and they lead in usually by the clutch fork. they plug together - make sure its a solid clean connection.

Hey guys...No luck! The 2 wires connected seemingly to the tranny is properly plugged. There's no way I can interchange em because they're male and female. Is this the right one or is there another switch for the back up lights?

thats it, unless you blew a fuse. bulbs not burnt out?

hey same problem they worked after i installed a cd player, but when i installed a screen they went out again. wat is it?

Mine is still out after all these years, hehe...Nah, I replaced the back up switch located on the tranny and fixed the problem...believe it or not they do go out. Probably just a coincidence that it happened right after I did my swap.
