I thought instead of creaing a new post i would just bump an old one, but that appears to have caused a problem.

So just out of curiousity, did any of you take any other trips with the R this summer other than to Expo?

As for myself, obviously i visited MI for Expo 6. Other than that i didn't have too much free time this summer. Usually i take several trips to OC Maryland, but didn't have the opportunity to shoot down at all this summer.

I took mine to various parts of the Southeast to compete in SEDiv autocrosses...

 

I dragged my R behind a truck to Summit and VIR a few times. Thats about all the R saw this summer .

 

I rode my R to Bradstard's house in South Carolina. It was fun.

well this summer I was able to take the R off the jackstands and move it forward a couple of feet from where it was resting.

...then I moved it back

Expo, Oregon, Seattle, Idaho.... work, a couple of autox.

 

After her attempted theft ....00#0148 retired from Daily Driving Duties and found a nice spot in my garage to retire too only to come out during nice days.

 

only bought the R just before the summer, so drove it everywhere... unless it was a trip to somewhere where it would have to be hardparked with 'normal' cars (ie amusement park)..

nothing special though... no roadtrips to france or anything

I don't drive mine long distances in the summer. NO A/C + SoCal = heat stroke

 

once upon a summer in a land far far across the atlantic it was thursday august 3rd, 21 cars met up in Dublin bay for the 9pm sailing to holyhead in wales where we would drive to santa pod for USC,there was a good diversity of cars(mostly jap) itr,civics,prelude,alteza's,rx7,s14's,glanza's,evo &mitsubishi GSR.

there was great anticipation as we got off the boat in holyhead just after midnight. all through the welsh valleys the tune of vtec's singing could be heard in the night sky lol


before we knew it we'd reached ''the pod'' set up our tents had breakfast & registered for our runs. unfortunatley my exhaust **** itself just after i'd launched although i kept going but it was hanging under the car pulling the tarmac up so only manged a 14.9@94 ,after a phone call to buddy club i arranged to pick up a spec 3 the next day. at this point i resigned myself to getting **** faced for the rest of the night i excelled at this!!!!

next morning i arrise after about 4 hours sleep,my head in bits with that ''stained glass window'' vision, one of the lads was good enough to drive me up to collect the exhaust we returned to the pod & set about fitting the new system

i'm ashamed to say that between one thing & another(mostly drink etc) i never did get another run on the strip, but we did enjoy the drive back to holyhead, needless to say when we arrived back in Dublin we all lived happily ever after

This summer the caR went to 8 AutoX's and 1 EXPO 6.

Still have "maybe" 3 more AutoX's and 1 track day at MPH on the scedule.

 

The type shlude went to chatan00ga TN and back, stl, iowa, indy, michigan, and to the bike trails in wisconsin about 10 times.

other than that, stop light to stop light in chicago.
about 6000 miles of that crap chicago driving.
