Default big steering wheel problem need advice

hey guys i ran into a problem
the problem was my car steering wheel was off centered to the right and so my friend said he knew how to align it and said he would do it for me and so he did... he pulled the air bag off and remove the wheel OFF and align it stright again. then later i found out this was the wrong way of doing the steering wheel alignment from this fourm

i need advive on what to do next?
how will i get the steering wheel back to factory?
will a regular wheel alignment and steering wheelalignment fix this?

thanks

i had that same problem, my steering wheel was off and that would make the wheels point straight. I got an alignment done and it fixed the problem, now the wheel is pointing straight.

if it's been pulled off and set to a different position won't help any. You're gonna have to pull the steering wheel back off and align it, the service manual will tell you how to do it.

Tell the alignment shop to align the car, and then straighten the steering wheel.

The last time I got an alignment, they straightened the wheel (moved counter-clockwise a tooth or two), then aligned the car. Now my steering wheel is a tooth or two too far counter-clockwise

Step one - Get alignment
Step two - Re align steering wheel
Step three - Enjoy

repositioning the steering wheel was a stupid idea.

i hope you got your alignment done. theyll be able to recenter your steering wheel properly now that you messed it up.
