Question's on a p61 ecu & a obd1 p72 on a jdm gsr motor with bolt on's

Default Question's on a p61 ecu & a obd1 p72 on a jdm gsr motor with bolt on's

ok as the state's i would like to know if anyone has used either ecu without the iabs and witch would work better?

Well the p61 doesn't have iab control(can be added) and the p72 does. If your not running iab's than use the p61 and chip it. They will work the same but either one wil need to be chipped and tuned for your setup.

ok well it has aebs im i/h/e and everything else is stock i have a po6 converted to vtec with uberdata but I'm not happy with it plus i have been trying to tune it myself and i just can get it to work i have had the motor in my ef for almost 6 months and have only put 25 miles on the swap .i just want something to use until i go turbo I'm not looking for any sick numbers just something fun for the track and weekend driving

If you already have a chipped p06 than keep it, and spend a little money on tuning. There are several people near us that will street tune your car for about the same price as another ecu.

thats why it is better to have someone who understand what they are doing tuning it. it can be very frustrating to learn on your own.

Exactly!...an of hour street tuning with one of those guys^ will answer sooo many questions.

Ive had some trouble using uberdata myself. I would try using crome free and ecucontrol.
