are you planing on taking the whole motor out and clean it our if is still going to be in your engine bay? if you just want to clean while it still on the enighe bay, buy carburetor cleaner and spray around the spot taht is dirty, buy engine degresor and spray around your car, and pressure wash the bay, remember to put plastic bag around the filter and dizzy, and other wire, just to be safe.

Simple Green and a scrub brush.

I put aluminum foil over the electrical components. Don't do that with the battery unless you want an unpleasant surprise.

well you can always try your best on spraying it down with gunk carb, or any other brand, if it doesnt, people spray it with silver paint. come out good

If you ever get bored like me on this one sunday morning..........buy engine degreaser. spray it all over your motor and cover your dizzy/filter/any wiring and take a nice soft scrub and towel and start to scrub the dirty area and valve cover for a nice shine. let the degreaser sit there for 10-15 minutes and pressure wash it down and watch all the dirt come out. then you take a clean towel and start to dry it off a little bit and let the hood stay open for a hour so its fully dry before you drive your car. They also have this special spray you spray on your engine bay when your done washing it that makes it shine like a brand new motor out the dealer...i forgot what its called, but im sure Kragen/Autozone people can help you out with that one.

tip(s): Wear gloves or else your finger nails will look like hell after!
Also wash off your driveway after your done cleaning your motor because the engine degreaser kind of stained a little part of my driveway since i didnt fully wash it down to the street.
