I want to add a/c +power steering to del sol
Wondering if anyone has ever add either a/c or power steering to a base model del sol. Would I need a differen't heater core. Would I need a differen't steering column?

My thoughts exactly.

If my mind serves me correct I believe the power steering controls the steering assembly not the steering column. And you would need to add a condenser, evaporator, reciever/drier, A/C compressor, A/C controls, lines relays etc etc...For the A/C

Your best bet is to goto a junk yard and find the same model but with the optional components and remove the rack and pinion, power steering pump, brackets, idler arm, and hoses. Buy brand new seals and install said components.

Where the hell did my post go?
Anyways, again....
It would honnestly be less work and cheaper to just buy a fully loaded del sol and sell yours for more than you bought it.

i assume you have concidered the fact that this will slow your car down... i understand A/C if you live somewhere hot (like here in SC) but unless it's a pristine car, perfect paint, perfect interior, perfect mechanically it's probly not worth the cash to do it right and get good results. but i love to be proved wrong when it comes to things like this...
I dont know but I beleave the ac was the same as the 92-95 civic. You will need all the lines hoses, wiring , evap, condens, compresser The main harness should already be in the car and there is a cover place over the AC button. just pull the cover plate and pop in the button cover.
The cars in bitchen shape I actually got it from a guy for 700 cause he couldn't pass smog. Turned out to be an o2 sensor. Paints good. Interiors good/ new moter and trans from japan approx 1 year ago. I've added headers intake high performance coil + 8mm wires. does anyone have anything similar with power steering and does the car feel sluggish?
why exactly do you want P/S?these cars are so light that even a girl shouldn't have any problems driving one with a manual rack.if you have to have it,you'll need the rack, hoses, pump, reservoir and lines from a P/S car.
A/C.been covered a bunch.try this thread:

i was under the impression all Del Sols came with A/C?what year/trim level is it?if it had A/C and the previous owner removed it,it may make it easier for you.

I'd like to have the power steering because I've gone to a smaller removable steering wheel. And it has like 17 or maybe even 18 inch wheels. Its just lame to have to take corners with two hands when I want to be down shifting. I'm used to it but I think it would be nicer.
