Car Stereo Help - Error Message "TEL"
It should work, I have never seen a "TEL" error code on a Honda/Acura HU, sounds more like a telephone interrupt signal has been received by the HU, [if it has that option].
I would check with the Del Sol form, maybe someone there has a manual for the HU.
Have you tried unplugging the HU and then plugging it back in again, or maybe disconnect the batt. neg. terminal for a bit and reconnecting and seeing what happens?

I put a 96 stock civic in it and it read "TEL" also. I have taken the fuse out for 10 min and put it back in and it still gives me the code "TEL" I am going to put the stock unit back in the DEL SOL to see if it works in there and if it does, it must be the car.
Does anyone have a stock wiring harness for the stereo 86 to 98? The one I have may be bad.

OK... so I understand, you have a 91 Honda Civic that you have installed a stock 93 Del Sol HU, that now will not work at all and only displays "TEL" , [nothing works, no AM/FM, CD/Cass, correct?].
I also assume that when you said... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ferory »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I put a 96 stock civic in it and it read "TEL" also. </TD></TR></TABLE> you meant a stock 96 Civic HU
, and it also reads "TEL", correct?
You are already doing the next easiest diagnostic test, [the first one being plugging another HU into your car] plugging the stock 93 Del Sol HU back into a Del Sol, [or any other Honda/Acura (1986-1997/98) will work] to see if it works properly.
My question to you would be, What do you need us for.

PS here is a pin out and color code for your cars radio harness...
http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf you can check the wiring with a multimeter to make sure they are/do what it says they are supposed to.
Also I am not sure what you mean by... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ferory »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Does anyone have a stock wiring harness for the stereo 86 to 98? Sorry, it does have standard aftermarket color code.
