Default Type R Camshafts on Stock Valve Springs and Retainers

I currently have a B16a SiR-II and with the SiR Camshafts the car goes up to 8800 without a problem. Now if I were to upgrade to ITR camshafts would I still be able to abuse my redline with the stock valve springs and retainers or would that be a no no?

I do 8300 w/ no visual problems of my CTR cams w/ stock springs/retainers.

Personally, I would get some cheap ITR springs and retainers.

Rev that bitch till she blows. You only live once, and whats a dollar or two lol. Seriously though, get the car on a dyno and see were she stops making power. Plus its always cool to know how much power your making.

To answer your question.. Yes
Can you rev the car to 8800.. Maybe
Would i do it on stock b16 valvetrain..No

Spend the extra dollar and get you some nice valvetrain.. Omnipower or maybe stock itr valve train.. hit up the classifieds & goodluck

louder does not = faster, id guarantee if you got on a dyno now youd see youd actually be faster using a lower redline. my recommendation is to get really really good valvetrain cause you seem to like to rev the **** out of your motor.

Heres what I take it to
1st 8200
2nd 8300
3rd 8550
4th 8600

When I race other B16 I hear them shift before me and thats what keeps me pulling on them.

Heres a Video of me with I/E VS. An SI with I/H/E/SS CTR Pistons/ Fuel Pressure Regulator/ Clutch and flywheel

Im the car that the camera man is filming
