Car starting problems.
The car is a 90 Civic Hatchback w/ a OBD0 b16a swap. Sometimes I'll turn the key and it won't crank over.. Then I'll come back to the car an hour or however long later and it'll crank over, then start right up.
Any ideas?

ignition switch maybe, look for something easier, poor connection at the battery, look at the starter signal wire and make sure the terminal is actually over the terminal on the starter a common mistake is to push the harness side next to the terminal and not over the terminal. Also, check to make sure the clutch switch is engaged. next time the problem occurs turn the key to the start position and press and release the clutch several times in a row maybe the clutch switch has a sour spot. all of these could be culprits and all easy to check. Question? You hear absolutely no noise nothing , tick, nothing when you turn the key all the way over? Good luck

Yeah sounds like either a starter problem, a battery problem, or a loose/corroded battery connections problem. I would check all your fuses, make sure the snesor on your clutch pedal is removed "just because" and well...do what i told you too. You know you can take your battery to autozone to get check for free, and charged for free, then you can clean your own battery connections real simple by hand with a basic tool or coke, but usually takes more with this path, and you can always bump start the car in 2nd gear to see if it is the starter before taking out the battery to clean the connections.
