Default Question bout engines...

Ok, im asking for some help here.. I need help figuring out which engine, and the not so expensive (talking like i dont wanna spend 2-3k on a engine.) This will be a daily driver/weekend warrior.. I plan on doing the road racing course/auto X.. i need some input on a engine with decent hp/ and good accel, but nothing thats gonna be insane... I was leaning towards the D-series w/ turbo.. any idea's?? TIA

Stock D16A6 is plenty enough to learn how to race with.

both are cheap, but don't have much aftermarket support. Get a D15B and a turbo kit for it, you'll be zooming around the track!

I dont plan on building it to hell and back, like i said its a daily driver/weekend warrior. So i dont start going crazy. now, the question is.. I have a d15b1 is that motor worth anything? or should i go with the ZC SOHC or the d15b sohc vtec. or could i just do from the block up on my d15b1... THANKS for all the responses.

id swap a d16y8 vtec in there. or the sohc zc. both are good motors. I have a d16a6 non vtec motor with si transmission I could sell you if your interested. The motor needs a little work.
