im about to go look at a prelude shifter assembly for my swap. it's the cables, shifter, plate and all that stuff.

is there anything i need to check to see if its good?

 

just make sure there are no bends, kinks or cuts in the shift cables, and eveything else should be good

And in order of preference it goes

4gen Prelude
5gen Accord
4gen Accord

So definitely try and get the Prelude one.
