Default safe to run on stock ecu for breakin

Just finished up my build and I was wondering if it's safe to run on a stock gsr map for break in and until I get tuned on the 22nd.
setup:
lsvtec
p30 pistons
bc3+ cams and rm vs and ret.
shitty greedy evo exhaust (soon to be dynomax super turbo muffler)
dc jdm 2.5 collector header...... for now
TIA

I'm gonna say no. Might lean out and pistons won't be happy about that

my buddys civic the 1 in the sig (see below) ran the stock ecu for break-in (drove around for 1000 kilometers, then right to the dyno), a/f's stayed exactly in the 14's all the way into boost (roughtly 5k rpm) on stock injectors, stock map etc.

although on high cr i dont know if it would be different if it needs more fuel, but its some first hand experience for you

btw a/f's were from a plx-m300.

^^ Your friend got so incredibly lucky that it's ridiculous.

And did I just see that Dynomax is better than GReddy? Peh.

well my greedy evo is falling apart from the inside and its loud as hell so...... I'm getting the dyno max to quiet things down and if it falls apart it's only like 40 bucks. Not saying dynomax is better cause I'm using the greedy piping but I was just sick of the noise. Thanks to everyone for the response as well I parked the ride until tuning day.

that isn't too bad I guess. But the OP is talking about driving it around with the stock ECU till September 22...

I actaully ran a 99 si ecu to start my lsvtec with the almost same setup..
i drove it around for about 500 miles but never took it above 3,000 rpm...

it was okay but get it tuned as soon as possible..
good luck

Are you serious? Did you read what you wrote?

You never properly seated your rings. You can't baby a brand new motor. You don't beat on it, but you don't baby it either. If you're unsure of your tuning, break it in on the dyno and be absolutely sure. Of course, that's hingsight for you at this point.

actuallly when we did the compression test after the break in... i had 210-215 psi in each cylinder..
