Default Factory struts interchangable though the years?

I found a great deal on some factory struts for a 96-00. Mine are shot. The guy says they'll fit just fine on my 92-95. Is this true? Does the application matter if its 2 door or 4 door?

And if they will fit, will it affect the ride height? Are the spring rates the same?

they will fit, i'm not sure if there is a difference between 2 or 4 dr. and remember, even though they are used, they may not last that long. how many miles are on them?

Im confused...

The rears wont fit, because of the body style difference????? or because of 2 door to four door difference??????

i believe its the different generations. Plus if they are factory struts they probably won't last long with lowering springs. Unless your getting them for a great deal for aboth i wouldn't bother buying it.

Rears wont fit. IMO, its not worth it unless its dirt cheap. THey will blow out with lowering springs.

The prokits are a higher spring rate than stock springs so they will wear out the shocks even faster than stock springs.

I take it youre not lowered already so if its a good deal just use the springs and toss the shocks.

The rears will not fit the bottom fork section that bolts to the LCA is more narrow.
